Who Is Hosting Saturday Night Live In January 2018


The year is brand new so why not start it off the right way, with a few laughs. For the past four decades Saturday Night Live has been a very reliable source of laughter. If you love the quintessential weekly comedy show then you don’t want to miss a single installment.

Here are the scheduled hosts on Saturday Night Live in January 2018 and the ways you can watch them online.

January 13th. Sam Rockwell


If you missed last weeks episode you missed Sam Rockwell’s first time hosting SNL, with special guest, the f-word (some naughty language got past the sensors). Sam Rockwell is a prolific and respected actor, who has been working in Hollywood for 30 years. The most recent proof of his talent is his Golden Globes win for his role in the film ,Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.

Rockwell was joined by musical guest, Halsey. She performed her hit songs “Bad at Love” and “Him & I.” G-Eazy (rapper and boyfriend of Halsey) joined her for the second song.

There are two brand new episodes of SNL remaining in January. Here’s what to look forward to in the next couple of episodes.

January 20th. Jessica Chastain


On January 20th actress Jessica Chastain will be hosting for the first time with musical guest Troye Sivan.

Jessica Chastain is taking the comedy stage to promote her new drama, Molly’s Game, which was written by Aaron Sorokin. Molly’s Game is the true story of Olympic-class skier, Molly Bloom, who ran the world’s most exclusive high-stakes poker game for a decade before being shut down by the FBI. Co-stars include Idris Elba and Kevin Costner. The movie has been getting major awards season buzz.

Troye Sivan is making his first appearance on the show as a musical guest. He recently released the single from his new album entitled “My My My!”  You may also know the Australian pop artist from his 2015 multi-platinum debut album, “Blue Neighborhood.”

January 27th. Will Ferrell


Saturday Night Live legend and comedy icon, Will Ferrell, returns to studio 8H to host SNL his fourth time on January 27. He will be joined by musical guest Chris Stapleton.

Most recently Ferrell has starred in the movie, Daddy’s Home 2, which was released in November. Ferrell shared the screen with an all-star cast of Mark Wahlberg, Mel Gibson, and John Lithgow. In addition to this you know Will Ferrell from such films as Anchor Man: The Legend Of Ron Burgundy, Old School, Step Brothers, Talladega Nights The Ballad Of Ricky Bobby… the list goes on. This episode will be a stand out.

Chris Stapleton featured as an SNL musical guest for the second time. He’ll be there in support of his most recent album, “From A Room: Volume 2,” which was released on Dec. 1. This is on the heels of his 2017 CMA award winning album “From A Room: Volume 1.”  This album won the CMA Album of the Year and is nominated for Best Country Album at the upcoming Grammy Awards.
