Watch Robot Chicken Without Cable

Robot Chicken is a unorthodox comedy show that places a large emphasis on social commentary and pop-culture references. It does this through the use of stop-motion animation (Usually involving toys or action figures). The show focuses on sketch comedy, and has become quite a hit since its inception back in 2005.

If you’re a fan of this show, you’re likely already well aware of all of that, though.

What you’re probably more interested in hearing about is where exactly you can start watching the show for yourself! Especially if you’re a cord cutter, who has already ditched cable TV. It’s no secret that it can be a bit difficult to find out where you can view your favorite shows online without shelling out a ton of extra money.

Stream Robot Chicken

Fortunately, the options I’ll be listing below are wallet-friendly, and completely above-board and legal – no shady 3rd party websites, and no unsavory streaming services of any kind.

However, there is one thing I should mention before getting started – while there’s definitely a lot of choices out there for streaming the show, very few of those options are free (Again, we’re focusing strictly on legal means of watching the show).

In fact, the only notable free options can be seen on the Adult Swim network site itself, where they have a few assorted episodes from different seasons available at no cost (Nor do you have to sign up anywhere).

Where to Watch Robot Chicken Online

Robot Chicken – Free Adult Swim Episodes Available Now

  • Season 4 – Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode II
  • Season 5 – Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode III
  • Season 8 – Episode 2, Episode 3, Episode 4

With the free offerings out of the way, let’s get right into the major on demand & TV streaming services that have Robot Chicken content.

On Demand  & Network Services

Before moving on to the “A la Carte” options (Where you can purchase individual episodes or seasons), I’ll go over the major on demand and live TV streaming services that include Adult Swim or Robot Chicken specifically.

  • Hulu: Hulu currently offers all 8 seasons of Robot Chicken on demand, with the only cost being the basic monthly subscription fee. Hulu has a “Limited Commercial” subscription for $7.99/month, and a “No Commercial” subscription for $11.99/month – no matter which one you choose, you’ll get access to all of your favorite Robot Chicken episodes!
  • Netflix: Netflix does not offer any Robot Chicken content on demand currently.
  • Amazon Prime Instant Video: Not unlike Netflix, Amazon Prime Instant Video does not have any Robot Chicken episodes or seasons available currently.
  • Sling TV: Because Sling TV offers the Cartoon Network channel, by extension it also offers Adult Swim (At night) and Robot Chicken streaming at a fairly low cost. Sling TV has two packages that contain Cartoon Network currently – Sling Orange ($20/month) and Sling Blue ($25/month). There’s also Cloud DVR options available, so feel free to record your favorite episodes at will.
  • PlayStation Vue: Much like Sling TV, PS Vue also includes the Adult Swim channel, so you’re already getting access to all of your favorite AS shows – Robot Chicken included! However, it is slightly more expensive than Sling TV, with the cheapest package currently costing $29.99/month. Cloud DVR functionality is also included by default.
  • DirecTV Now: DirecTV Now is a solid enough service, but it’s the most expensive internet TV streaming option out of the 3 mentioned here (Sling TV, PS Vue, and this), with the cheapest plan running you about $35/month. DirecTV NOW also does not include any form of DVR currently.

A la Carte Services

In addition to the typical network and on demand viewing options, there’s plenty of “A la Carte” alternatives/stores that let you purchase individual episodes and full seasons.

This is a better overall value for people who don’t care about the rest of the shows and networks you’d typically get in a month-to-month streaming service (On demand or otherwise).
