In 2008, the proverbial housing bubble burst when the real estate market crashed. This had led to a lot of people having to sell homes at a fraction of what they were once worth, as well as many real estate agents losing their jobs.
You know what they say though: when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. This is exactly what former real estate agents Tarek and Christina El Moussa did, as they turned this potential financial disaster on its head and started to flip houses. This idea became the premise for what would eventually become the entertaining HGTV show, “Flip or Flop”.
If you have never seen this show, then today’s article will tell you exactly how you can view Flip or Flop online, both streaming and on-demand.
What is Flip or Flop
Husband and wife team Tarek and Christina El Moussa travel around the state of California looking for various homes that are either bank owned or foreclosures and attempt to renovate the homes and sell them. Christina is usually the one tasked with renovating and designing the house, while it is her husband’s job to try and sell the home to potential buyers.
The show aired for seven seasons so far with an eighth season on the horizon, despite the split of couple Christina and Tarek. The series has also spawned a few spin-offs on HGTV from different locations, including Fort Worth, TX, Las Vegas, NV, and Atlanta, GA.
Flip or Flop airs on HGTV.
How to Stream Flip or Flop On Demand
Unlike some other shows that are available on the HGTV website, Flip or Flop is limited in the number of episodes that are available for viewing. Currently there are more episodes of Flip or Flop Las Vegas than the main series. While that does mean it may be hard to catch up on the whole series, this is offset by the fact that the HGTV is free to use. If you have a computer or tablet, then you have a way to watch Flip or Flop online without spending an extra dime!
While watching Flip or Flop live is an option you may want, you may also wish to catch up on the previous seasons of the show, and without the limitations of the HGTV website.
For this we have Hulu. Hulu is the popular streaming service that allows you to view thousands of popular shows on demand and usually has new episodes available the day after they air. In the case of Flip or Flop, Hulu has seasons 4 and 5 available in their entirety. While this isn’t the whole series, it is more than enough to get you up to speed on Flip or Flop if you are just getting into the show.
How Watch Flip or Flop Live
As you may already know, Sling TV is an online streaming service that is very similar to cable in the fact that you have your option of channels in which to view live. Unlike cable, however, Sling TV comes with both a free week of television and DVR capabilities with any package you choose, as well as a price that helps it edge out cable.
This helps someone who wants to view Flip or Flop online and without the extra cost and hassle of cable. Just make sure that the channel package you select with Sling TV has HGTV and keep an eye on the channel guide for when the show airs.
DirecTV Now is very similar to Sling TV in that it allows you to view TV live online and without a cable subscription. You also get the option of choosing your own channel packages, much like Sling TV, which include extras such as HBO and Cinemax.
In the case of DirecTV Now vs. Sling TV, it all comes down to your personal preference, as both services allow for great live-TV streaming which will give you access to Flip or Flop as it airs on HGTV!
