Fargo is a popular black comedy-drama show that airs on FX. Featuring a revolving cast of A-list stars that change each season, The show follows the formula dark, comedic formula that made the film so successful. Each episode is well-written and deserving of the buzz and critical acclaim it’s garnered.

Fargo Season 1

Season 1 takes place in the year 2006 and stars: Billy Bob Thornton, Allison Tolman, Colin Hanks, and Martin Freeman, was met with critical acclaim. 

Fargo Season 1 Awards:

  • Golden Globe: Best Miniseries for Television/Film and Best Actor – Miniseries or Television Film for Thornton.

Fargo Season 2

Fargo Season 2 takes place in 1979 and stars Kirsten Dunst, Patrick Wilson, Jesse Plemons, Jean Smart, and Ted Danson.

Fargo Season 2 premiered on April 19, 2017 and takes place in 2010 and stars Ewan McGregor, Carrie Coon, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Goran Bogdan and David Thewlis.

How To Stream Fargo

  • PlayStation Vue: PlayStation Vue includes the FX channel, and it’s included in their cheapest package – “Access Slim” – for $29.99/month. PS Vue also has cloud DVR.
  • DirecTV Now: DirecTV Now is the least budget-friendly Fargo viewing option, with the cheapest package costing $35/month. While that package does include Fargo for live streaming, it does not have cloud DVR.
