DirecTV NOW is DirecTV's new streaming service. This service offers several different packages ranging from $35/mo to $70/mo. Channel offerings range from 60+ to 120+ depending on your plan. Some of the featured channels include AMC, Cartoon Network, Comedy Central, and ESPN.
Only 2 devices can be streaming simultaneously and there is no DVR functionality. DirecTV NOW can be accessed by several compatible devices such as Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, and others. It can also be access via devices such as smartphones and tablets. Currently, there is zero data usage for AT&T customers.
Each Sling plan includes AMC, CNN and HGTV, among many others and can be customized with additional channel packs or "add-on's". Add-on's start at $5 per month and can be combined in any way. Additionally, Sling Plans and add-on's can be cancelled at any time.
Featured Add-on's include popular sports channels, Children's entertainment, premium channels and international options. Premium and international packages are slightly more per-month: HBO $15, Cinemax $10, STARZ $9, Showtime $10, Arabic Extra $10, TV Globo Brazilian Extra $15, and Italiano Extra $10.
PlayStation Vue is Sony's contract-free streaming service. Packages range from $30/mo to $65/mo. This service offers a wide variety of channels from CNN, FOX, ESPN, Syfy, HGTV, and more. All plans offer on-demand programming from ABC, FOX, and NBC.
Vue can be accessed from several different platforms, not just the Playstation. Supported devices include Apple TV, Amazon Fire, Roku, Chomecast, and even smart phones and tablets. This service does contain commercials and ads. Video quality is subpar compared to other services at just 720p. Many others offer 1080P or 4K.
