As far as non-major PGA Tour events, this one should be the best of the year. Not only just for the Tiger factor, but because so many of the world’s best will be playing on an absolutely beautiful course. Featuring five different Par-5s and one of the toughest 18th holes in the game, Riviera is as challenging as it is majestic.  The Genesis Open (then called the Los Angeles Open) was first played in 1926 and Riviera has hosted the tournament every year since 1999. Dustin Johnson pocketed $1.26 million by winning last year’s tournament and this year the winner’s prize has been upped to $1.3 million (with a $7.2 million total purse).
