How to Watch Humans Online

One of AMC’s newest series, Humans (R) is a science fiction series based on the award winning Swedish show, Real Humans (R), which ran a successful two seasons between 2012-2014. Based in a world of artificial intelligence and robots, it explores the futuristic ideas of a society filled with “synths”. Starring Gemma Chan, Katherine Parkinson, and Lucy Carless (among others), it has received solid reviews and praise in its initial seasons. With two seasons under its belt, each contains 8 episodes running about an hour in length.

Humans: Artificial Intelligence

Humans takes an interesting approach in portraying the artificial intelligence in the series, or “synths” as they are referred.  Advertised as more of a “gadget”, they are a premium subservient robot, which are depicted with extreme human-like appearance. While some characters of the show readily adopt the new world of robotic presence, others are hesitant to accept this new reality that includes artificial intelligence. As the drama filled lives of the characters develop, the added confusion of “synth” beings creates a new twist and layer of intrigue.
