How To Watch Girlfriends Guide To Divorce Online

Based on Girlfriends’ Guidebooks by Vicki Lovine (R), Girlfriends Guide to Divorce follows self-help author Abby McCarthy as she deals with an impending divorce that throws her personal and professional life into disarray. Starring Lisa Edelstein of House fame, Girlfriends Guide to Divorce is Bravo’s first original scripted series. Bravo is carried on most streaming services. It has been praised for the performance of Edelstein in the main role of Abby and for its quality over Bravo’s usual fare. During the show’s second season the show was renewed for a third, fourth and fifth season.

Girlfriends Guide to Divorce (R) balances the comedy and drama of life through life-changing events. Abby struggles to keep private matters under the radar as she navigates the waters of single life, post-separation from her husband. Now a single mother in the dating world, Abby gets closer to her divorced friends, taking advice from them instead of her married friends. She hides her impending divorce from the public and at home. As the series starts, Abby and her husband put on the ruse of a happily married couple but not very well. The show is geared towards a female audience, particularly an audience of adult and middle-aged women.

The first two seasons have thirteen episodes while season three has seven episodes and the fourth season looks to have six episodes scheduled. Bravo plans to end the series after its fifth season. A smart plan and the shorter seasons are perfect for today’s audiences. As we are constantly on the go, shorter seasons and streaming services is the best way to keep viewers engaged and to build an audience. Bravo’s approach to their scripted program has been smart so far. I hope they continue to do some scripted series, vying for a more original fare than their usual Reality TV. Girlfriends Guide is a formula that works for them and their audience.

It looks like audiences and critics alike have taken to Girlfriends Guide to Divorce and the performance of Lisa Edelstein. Many have said that it has a Real Housewives feel, alluding to the shows usually seen on Bravo. The show itself is fun, transcending the typical tropes of its genre and subject matter.

Girlfriends Guide To Divorce On Netflix

Girlfriends Guide to Divorce is available to stream for Netflix subscribers. It is no surprise that Bravo would put their first scripted series on the streaming platform. If the channel is going to spread its wings and enter the world of scripted series it is important to get the word out. Netflix is the best way to do that. Considering the main audience of this show, it is also very important to understand that many women in their thirties and forties cannot sit down at the end of their day’s work to watch a series. They spend most of their time catching up through streaming services like Netflix. With the show premiering a fourth season this month, now is the time to head on over to Netflix and binge watch Seasons One, Two and Three.
