Week 5 NFL Schedule 2019 and How To Watch The Games Online

Let’s be honest. Week 4 was kinda boring. Not a lot of key match-ups or major “must watch” games. That all changes for Week 5.

This week starts off with the Rams at Seattle, both 3-1, tonight on Thursday Night Football.  Packers and Cowboys play on Sunday. We’ll see if the Patriots can put up 50 on the Redskins on Sunday as well. The Sunday Night Football game is Colts vs Chiefs, this one could be interesting and then the week finishes out with Browns and 49’ers on Monday Night. As long as my Packers can keep Zeek to under 200 yards rushing, I will be a happy camper!

NFL Games Online By Team

How to Watch the NFL Online

Anyone can watch football games live on a Smart TV, computer, or mobile device. The NFL has spread viewing rights all over the place and on all different channels and even social media platforms. The key to watching your favorite team online is knowing which channel they are on each week and picking the service with those channels. Picking a streaming service with live local channels as well as ESPN and the NFL Network gives you the best chance in catching all your teams games online.

NFL On Streaming TV Apps

Sling TV

Sling TV can be easily accessed on most streaming devices like Apple TV, Roku, Chromecast, or Amazon Fire TV. Although Sling TV has two different NFL packages with different features and benefits, it is possible to pay for both. Sling Orange ($25/mo) has ESPN for your Monday Night Games and Sling Blue ($25/mo) has the NFL Network and some Fox locals affiliates for Thursday Night Football. Get both for $40/mo saving you $10/mo plus Sling has a deal now with a free trial and where you can get both for $25 for your first month.

Sling TV is a good option if you do not want to be tied down to a contract. You get full access to ESPN and NFL and have the liberty of canceling your subscription at the end of the season. Make sure you have good access to the Internet to stream content via the Sling TV app. Local channels on Sling depends on where you live, you can check which local channels are available in your area here.

Hulu + Live TV

Hulu + Live TV is different than Hulu but is very competitive in pricing especially when it comes to sports channels and live local channels so you won’t miss your team play this week. Hulu + Live TV only offers one package which is $44.99/mo and includes your NBC, CBS, Fox and ABC local channels (depending on where you live) and ESPN (Monday Night Football). Hulu Live doesn’t offer the NFL Network so you’ll need to watch your Thursday Night game on your local network unless it is on Fox.

Hulu with Live TV offers your first week free and then is $44.99/mo after.

fubo TV

fuboTV started as being the cornerstone for online sports viewing. They started but have now shifted to all forms of entertainment channels still with a huge selection of sports channels available.

The fubo standard package is $54.99/mo and is great for a ton of sports, especially college football, MLB, soccer and more. With no ESPN channels in its package, on Monday night, you would have to watch your local NFL team on your live local streaming channels like NBC, Fox and CBS. If that isn’t an issue for you, fuboTV is a great option for lovers of ALL types of sports and local channels.

AT&T Now

Recently, DirecTV Now re-branded under its new name, AT&T Now. While not the most cost-effective options for streaming, they offer several television packages with many channels starting at $50/mo all the way to $135/mo. This streaming service is the closest you will get to a full cable/satellite TV experience from a streaming television provider.

Like the other services mentioned above, AT&T Now offers live local streaming channels (ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox) where available. It also has ESPN so you won’t miss the Monday Night Football game but there is no NFL Network, so you will need to watch your local team on your live local station. Live local stations and ESPN come in all their packages which start at $50/mo – you can view and compare the packages here.

The biggest benefit of trying AT&T Now is that they give you the ability to add/bundle internet with your streaming package. So you if you looking at trying to save money on your internet, you may pay more for the streaming packages but could potentially save more by switching your internet to them. Something to consider.

CBS All Access

Less of a full-service cord cutting option and more of a add-on option, CBS All Access gives you access to live CBS feeds as well as the full CBS on demand library. If you games are mostly on CBS (AFC games) – this may be worth the $5.99/mo after a 7 day free trial.

Thursday Night Football – Week 5

For 2019, Thursday Night Football games are often aired on three channels: NFL Network, Fox and Amazon Prime Video.

This week, for the Rams at the Seahawks, the TNF game will be on your local Fox station, NFL Network and Amazon Prime Video. NFL Network is available on fuboTV and Sling. If you are in Tennessee or Jacksonville, you can view on your local stations (where available) with Hulu Live and AT&T Now.

If you don’t have access to live local streaming channels or your team is playing on Thursday Night but you want to watch the game anyways, finding a streaming service with the NFL network is your best bet.

Sunday Night Football – Week 5

The Sunday Night Football game this week is against the Colts at Kansas City and is on NBC. You can catch this on any service with live local channels. See the table above for service options.

Monday Night Football – Week 5

Monday Night Football for week 5 is the Browns at the 49’ers. All MNF games are available to anyone with a valid subscription to the ESPN channel or streaming service with ESPN as part of their package like Sling, or Hulu Live. Additionally, Monday night football games are also available on the Yahoo Sports app, or NFL App.
