Be honest, how could you not be a fan of the no holds barred action that is the Ultimate Fighting Championship? It’s probably one of the most watched events on TV with its mix of marketing and action. Well, if you’re a fan of UFC and have access to Amazon Prime Video, you’re in luck!
UFC On Amazon Prime Video
Starting March 3rd, UFC 222 which features Cris Cyborg v Yana Kunitskaya, will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. The new deal offers access to all PPV events from the MMA organization going forward with UFC 222 available for $64.99. Even better, you actually do not need to have an Amazon Prime account to access this!
The addition of UFC continues to help Amazon advance its video service as they earlier nabbed rights to NFL’s Thursday Night Football for the 2017 season. They are in the running for this year also so expect that to come to fruition. There is lots more sport coming to Prime though as Prime Video will also have AVP Pro Beach Volleyball and access to several different ATP events and tournaments around the world.
The addition of UFC to Amazon’s lineup of programming is notable as it’s the first time Amazon has sold a PPV package. However UFC along with its previous investment in NFL definitely demonstrates Amazon’s commitment to live sports. Perhaps most importantly for Amazon Prime Video subscribers, the ability to access UFC without any additional equipment or account information is nothing if not simple!
