2018 NFL Playoffs: How to Watch Bills vs. Jaguars Without Cable

The AFC Wild Card Game

When: January 7th, 1:05 p.m. EST

Where: EverBank Field in Jacksonville Florida

Channel: CBS

Get ready for NFL playoff football! The 2018 post-season has officially started.

The Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars will kick things off EverBank Field in Jacksonville Florida.

It’s an interesting match-up that features two teams that haven’t made it to the playoffs in quite a while. Jacksonville’s playoff drought lasted over haven’t made it to the post-season since 1999.

What To Expect From The Jacksonville Jaguars In The Playoffs

Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone and the rest of the team are not content with simply making it to the post-season. They finished three spots ahead of the Bills as the AFC’s No. 3 seed, and they look to use their home field advantage to propel them to the next round of the post-season.

Marrone will look to the Jaguar’s No. 1 ranked defense in virtually every category that matters like forced fumbles, sacks, interceptions, and yards allowed per game to stifle the Bills’ offense. It’s a defense that has been proven to be good enough to stop some of the best offenses in the league right in their tracks.

We’re talking about a defense that held the Baltimore Ravens to only 7 points in week three, then picked off five of Ben Roethlisberger’s passes a couple of weeks later. Jacksonville’s defense even managed to outlast the Seattle Seahawk’s defense – which has been one of the toughest defenses in the NFL for a few years – when the two teams collided late in the 2017 season.

What To Expect From The Buffalo Bills In The Playoffs

Bills head coach Sean McDermott realizes his team will have their work cut out for them when they begin their post-season run on Sunday. They’ll need their running game to be effective if they want to stand a chance against the pressure Jacksonville’s defenders bring on each play.

How healthy LeSean McCoy is will likely have an impact on the outcome of this contest. His status is currently listed as “day to day” as he looks to recover from an ankle sprain he suffered during the Bills’ final game of the season.

McCoy has been a key part of the Bills offense throughout the 2017 season, as he makes it easy for quarterback Tyrod Taylor to do what he’s paid to do: manage the game. Taylor will definitely have his hands full going against the best defense in the league in hostile territory.

The Jaguars will be the favorites heading into this NFL Wild Card contest.
